I can help make your business more visible online by working with you on your content. It’s an over-used phrase in the digital world, but content really is King. There are lots of ways you can improve your search rankings, and no one method works in isolation, but it is generally accepted that search engines love new content, and you’ll be rewarded with a higher ranking if your content changes regularly. They also love popular content – so if more people share your content, your ranking will also improve.

So what have I got to offer?


Well, first and foremost, I can write. My background is in magazines, so I’m just as happy writing offline as I am writing for online. I can write from scratch or re-write existing content. I know all about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO); the importance of keywords, titles, headings, metadata and optimising images. And I can find my way round most Content Management Systems (CMS).


I’m a keen blogger, I write my own blog, Little Miss Adventures, about things to do with kids around Peterborough; and it’s pretty popular. Blogs are a great way of spreading the word about your business and building up an online community of potential and current customers. But they do take a bit of work.

If you just write a blog and hope people will come you’re in for a surprise! If you spend time building relationships with other relevant bloggers you will get so much more from your blog, in terms of traffic, shares and hopefully, sales. I can help with your blog; whether it’s writing the posts, or putting in place a robust blogging plan. I can also develop a blogger outreach plan for your business, so that you can target new audiences.

Social media

Social media. Love it or hate it, nowadays most customers expect you to be on at least one or two platforms. But when you have a business to run, it’s easy to set it up and then forget about it. Or if you do have time, what do you post? And are you getting disheartened by the lack of engagement in your posts?

Varying content, talking about wider industry topics, current affairs or local issues gives your business a human side and helps with that all important ‘engagement’. I can manage your social media profiles or set them up for you.

Content strategy and development

So you’ve decided to give your website an overhaul. You know you want a new look, but how about the content? This is where I can help. From the early stages of audience analysis, to information architecture and user journeys; I can develop a strategy for your website going forwards. And once that’s in place, I can help edit or write new content.

And I won’t leave you there; once your site is up and running, I’ll work with you to develop a content calendar to ensure content is refreshed and updated regularly (for that all-important search ranking). Need to train staff in the new system? I can run training courses in CMS and writing for the web as well.
